The prestigious year end Sportsmanship Award was presented October 19 at the Kawartha track. Sarah is a good friend of Sunhill Racing and we are proud of her accomplishment. The award is presented every year to an individual who exemplified, throughout the entire racing season, character traits and conduct such as striving spirit, courtesy, fairness and grace when losing, both on and off the track. Congratulations Sarah Rafferty #17.

Sunhill Racing makes
an appearance in
France

Sunhill Racing friend and race fan, Keelin Stechey, proudly displays her Sunhill Racing cap in front of Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, located in the Musée du Louvre in Paris, France. The Mona Lisa is actually titled Portrait of Lisa Gherardini. This photo is proof positive that Sunhill Racing is now truly “international” in scope!

Hundreds of friends and fellow racers attended an early morning memorial for MMRS ATV Rider #45 Jamie Van Eindhoven on Sunday October 19, 2008 at the Kawartha track. Jamie passed on October 6, 2008 as a result of an accident doing the sport he loved – racing his ATV. Over 50 fellow MMRS ATV riders participated in a memorial lap prior to the “on track” memorial service and minute of silence which was attended as well by Jamie’s Family. Jamie's #45 and the jump where the accident occurred were both retired at the weekend ceremony.

Fundraising events including raffles, sticker sales, a bake sale and a spaghetti dinner in benefit of the Van Eindhoven family were held at the track over the weekend which raised $10,150. If you like what we did in 2007… and then again in 2008… you’ll love what we’ve got planned for 2009! Now is the time to get on board as a Sponsor! We’ve invested in more quads and by the spring of 2009 will be running an additional Yamaha 250 Raptor as well as a completely modified and ready to race YFZ 450. The Sunhill Racing website provides visitors with free access to videos and images from each event we attend as well as loaned quads to racing children in need…. all those kids who have a sincere desire to participate, those that experienced a DNF and the unfortunate ones who broke down and needed a quad to maintain their points. We did that 17 times alone in 2008! Sunhill racing provides the images we shoot every weekend [hundreds of them] free of charge to anyone who asks and assists other Moms and Dads in making the kids feel “special” during and after every race.

Our fully decaled and branded racing trailer travels Ontario attending MMRS races as well as specialty events like the Kawartha Power Sports show where we came home trophy winners! We also attended Moto Camp in Parry Sound in July of 2008 which was attended by scores of racing families from various racing clubs from across Ontario. The Sunhill Racing sponsorship program is not just about being at the track with our own kids… we support the kids in need through loaner quads, our website and our U-tube channel. In fact, in less than one year, our website has attracted thousands of unique visitors who keep coming back again and again on a weekly basis... Some of our U-tube videos have thousands of views! Sunhill Racing is about constantly changing and updated content which in turn gives back to our sponsors. We would welcome your support in 2009. When you are planning your advertising budget for 2009 ask yourself what you really are getting out of those magazine and yellow pages advertisements. Sunhill Racing can’t promise to get you more business but then the other guys can’t either…. what we can do is guarantee to put a smile on a kids face!
